The three cutting elements of the shaver are mounted on floating heads that easily bend when even only slight pressures are applied to them. This means that the heads along with the cutters easily bend to the contours of your face to reach every nook and cranny of your cheeks, chin, jaw, and neck. No hair, whether long or short, can escape the vibrating blades of the 320S-4 Shaver. This feature is dubbed the Triple Action Free Float System.
In order to capture unruly hairs that grow in all directions as the shaver is passed over your skin, the foils, called Smartfoil, are designed with unique patterns. Individual holes are shaped and angled differently, but they do follow a certain arrangement.
Since not all facial hairs are of the same length, the shaver includes a three-stage cutting system that cuts both stubbles and long hairs. The two foils take care of the stubbles as they fall through the holes, while an oscillating cutter mounted in between the foils cuts longer hairs. After it cuts longer hairs, one of the foils immediately follows to shave them as close as possible.
All Braun 3Series shavers come with a Clean & Renew System that makes cleaning and maintaining the shaver easy. All you need to do is soak it in the supplied dock and hit its power button. When you take it out, it is not only cleaned but also lubricated and even recharged. You may, however, want to wash it under running water first to remove extra hair embedded in the cutters.
As the Braun 3Series 320S-4 Shaver can be washed in running water, it can also be used for wet shaving for a refreshing and invigorating shave with foam or gel.
