Featuring a three-stage cutting system, the Braun Series 3 340 Men's Shaver delivers a close shave cutting both short stubbles and long whiskers in a minimum number of passes.
The system consists of twin foils that sandwich an integrated cutter. The foils, trademarked Smart Foil by Braun, are crafted with unique patterns designed to trap stubbles that grow in different directions. The blade in between the two foils, on the other hand, trims long hairs to stubble-length making it easier for the foils to shave them as close as possible.
The foils and blade are mounted on a free-float system, allowing them to sink into the shaver, and to bend forward, backward, and to either of its sides. This means that the Braun Series 3 340 easily adapts to the contours of your face, as it is passed over your cheeks, chin, jaw, and neck. The result is a smooth shave without any irritation or rashes.
In addition to the foils and blade, the shaver includes a precision trimmer mounted on its back. This is easily flipped up with just a flick of a finger, ready to trim and keep your moustache, beard, and sideburns neat and tidy.
As the motor and battery compartment of the Braun Series 3 340 Men's Shaver is waterproofed, you can use the machine either dry or wet. Also because of this, you can clean it under running water.
The build of the shaver's body is ergonomic, giving you a firm and comfortable grip even when shaving wet. The on/off button is positioned exactly where your thumb rests while gripping the shaver. Below this are two indicator lamps –green and red. The green lights up while charging the two NiMH batteries, while the red comes alive when their charge is running low. Full charge, reached after an hour of charging, can power the shaver for about week of 5-minute daily shaving.
