The word "pulsonic" is not in the dictionary as it was probably coined by the engineers at Braun. It refers to a system that causes the motor of the Braun Series 7-790cc Pulsonic Shaver to send up to 10,000 micro-vibrations in one minute to its head that massages your cheeks, chin, and upper lip. This massage gently stimulates and ripples the skin and causes hairs to stand thus making them easier to shear. The result is a thorough and smooth shave.
To supplement the micro-vibrations, the shaver is also equipped with a trimmer installed in between the two foils which also helps lift thin hairs that lie flat close to the skin. It oscillates back and forth raising and cutting flattened hair it passes along the way.
Recognizing that facial hair often grows in different directions and are of different lengths, the foils of the Series 7-790cc are crafted with holes of different sizes. This design captures more hairs and thus leads to a cleaner shave.
The entire head of the shaver is fully flexible, pivoting to adapt to the contours of your face. In addition to this, the foils along with their blades and the trimmer in between them are likewise flexible, floating independently. This further enhances the shaver's adaptability to hard-to-access corners and creases on your skin.
With three cutting elements consisting of the two foils with their blades and the middle trimmer, the Braun Series 7-790cc Pulsonic Shaver can only lead to a clean and close shave. Working together, these elements cut both short stubbles and long hairs, including those that are flattened against the skin.
Although you can wash the shaver under running water from a faucet, it comes with a dock which incorporates a Clean&Renew System that more thoroughly cleans it. The dock includes a replaceable cartridge that contains cleaning media specifically designed to keep the shaver clean and free from microorganisms. With the dock plugged into a power outlet, you only need to insert the shaver into it. It will clean, disinfect, lubricate, and dry the shaver. It also functions as the shaver's battery charger.
