With a cutting surface that is wider than most shavers by as much as 32%, the Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men's Wet/Dry Shave provides a quicker and closer shave. This wider surface allows the installation of four foils and four cutting blades.
Using principles and methods employed in nanotechnology, the blades are polished at 30° making them one of the sharpest, if not the sharpest, in the industry. With a fourth blade the possibility of individual whiskers escaping the shaver is virtually eliminated.
The foils covering the blades are arced allowing you to press the shaver gently against your skin for a truly close shave. It is also because of this arc that the foil can glide evenly across your cheeks and chin, thus resulting in a consistent shave. Owing to their expanded surface, the foils spread the pressure of the shaver on your skin giving you a more comfortable feel as you glide it over your face.
The blades are activated by a linear motor that operates at 13,000 rpm. At this speed, coupled with the extremely sharp blades, the shaver can handle even the thickest of beards.
The Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men's Wet/Dry Shaver can be used either for wet or dry shaving. You can use it even while in the shower, or while rushing to work in your car. Since it is not adversely affected by water, you can also clean it under running water from the tap. When doing so, activate the Turbo mode to increase motor revolution to 17,000 rpm to help toss any hair clinging to the blades.
Other features include an LCD display on the handle indicating the charge level of the battery, and cleaning reminders. It also has a pop-up trimmer to tidy up unruly and errant whiskers.
The battery charger that comes with the shaver is a dual voltage type so you need not bring a converter when traveling in foreign countries using 220 volts.
