Featuring Philip's GyroFlex 2D System, the shaving head of the Philips Norelco 1180X SensoTouch Electric Razor bends and flexes to adapt to the contours of your face even at the slightest pressure while you are shaving. This guarantees that the shaver's dual blade system can access every surface of your face for a smooth and clean shave.
Equipped with DualPrecision shavings heads that have slots and holes, the 1180X SensoTouch cuts both long hairs and short stubbles. Long hairs that are usually flattened against the skin are cut through the slots, while short stubbles fall into the holes where they, too, are cut.
The shaver's Super Lift&Cut Action further assures a smooth and close shave as it employs a dual blade system to lift hair from the skin with the first blade before cutting it with a second at a point normally hidden under it.
The shaving surface of each of the heads has an extra smooth finish dubbed SkinGlide. The result is that there is less friction as you pass the shaver over your skin. This minimizes, if not eliminates, skin irritation and rashes.
With an Aquatec seal keeping the motor and batteries of the 1180X from water, the shaver can be used safely for a refreshing and invigorating wet shave with foam or gel. This also makes cleaning a breeze as you can simply run flowing water from the tap through the heads and blades.
A precision trimmer is also included for your moustache, beard, or sideburns. This is a pop-up type that is mounted on the back of the shaver.
At its front are a set of indicator lamps. These include battery power level indicator lights, and another that lights up when the Philips Norelco 1180X SensoTouch Electric Razor is charging. Each full charge can run the shaver for 50 minutes straight, which is about 17 days of use for the average shaver. Full charge is reached in one hour when fully drained.
