The Precision Cutting System consists of three ultra-thin rotary heads with slots and holes intended to facilitate the cutting of long hairs and short stubbles respectively. Longer hairs fall into the slots while the stubbles are inserted into the holes where they are cut.
The Patented Reflex Action System, on the other hand, works with the three heads that float individually causing them to automatically adjust to the contours of your face and neck as you glide the shaver over them. This aligns the sharp blades to the surface of your skin, resulting to a clean and smooth shave.
Employing two blades set at slightly different heights and angles, the Super Lift & Cut Technology, assures that hair is cut at a level that is below the skin. The first blade, a little higher and angled more steeply, gently tugs at the hair without cutting it completely, thus pulling it out of the skin. The second blade, following closely, cuts the hair. This results in a smooth and close shave.
The Philips Norelco 7810XL Shaver can be cleaned with running water. You only have to swivel out the top section where the rotary heads are mounted, and place it under the faucet washing away cut hair that stubbornly cling to the blades.
A pop-up trimmer is incorporated with the shaver to trim and groom your moustache and sideburns. This is a full-width accessory that is fitted with a spring release mechanism.
The rechargeable battery of the 7810XL can store enough energy for 10 days of shaving after an hour's charging. To keep track of its remaining power and to check if it is charging, LED indicator lights are mounted on the shaver's handle. In case the battery is fully drained, you can use the power cord that comes with the unit to directly power it with electricity otherwise you can charge it for three minutes and have enough power for one cordless shave.
