Featuring a DualPrecision shaving system, the Philips Norelco PT730 PowerTouch Razor guarantees a close and smooth shave. This is because the system shaves both long and stubble-length hairs. It also has the patented Super Lift and Cut Dual-Blade technology. This consists of two blades following each other closely. The first blade is angled in a way that it does not cut hair but merely lifts it up, pulling it from the skin. The second blade then cuts it at a level that is normally beneath the skin.
It has three flexible heads that automatically adapts to the contours of your cheeks, chin, jaw, and neck when pressed against your face. This prevents excessive pressure on your skin, thus avoiding the possibility of skin rashes and irritation.
In addition to shaving your mustache, beard, or sideburns, the PT730 incorporates a pop-up trimmer to keep them neat and trim if you do not want to shave them off completely.
After shaving, you can easily clean the machine by washing it with clean hot water. Simply open the shaving unit and run tap water through it as well as through hair chamber for about 30 seconds. For a more thorough cleaning, however, use the supplied brush.
Having a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the shaver can be operated with or without its power cord. When fully charged, the battery can run the shaver for 40 minutes. That is roughly the equivalent of 14 days of shaving. In case you run out of power while shaving, simply plug the cord in. If you do not feel comfortable shaving while the cord is plugged, just wait three minutes. That should give you enough power for a single shave. Full charge, however, needs eight hours. An indicator lamp lights up to warn you when battery power is low.
