Equipped with three shaving heads that float on a flexible mounting system dubbed SmartTouch, the Philips Norelco Razor 8270XL Deluxe Special Edition delivers a fast and efficient shave. The heads are kept in close contact with the skin following every curve and contour of your face.
The heads are ultra-thin and are designed with slots for cutting long hairs and holes for shaving stubbles as closely as possible. Compared to regular rotary shavers, the 8270XL Deluxe provides 50% more shaving surface. This results in faster shaving with less passes over your face.
The shaver incorporates Norelco's Super Lift & Cut Action, which features a dual blade shaving system. The two blades follow each other closely but the first blade that comes into contact with your hair is mounted in a way that, instead of immediately cutting hair, merely lifts it from your skin. It is the second blade that cuts the hair at a point that would normally be under your skin were it not lifted by the preceding blade.
At the back of the razor is a pop-out trimmer for your sideburns, moustache, or beard. A special hinge locks it into position when opened so that it will not fold back into the shaver's body when used.
After shaving, you can easily clean the razor by running it through warm water. It has anti-bacterial coating inside assuring you that it is germ free even without applying cleaning liquids or chemicals. Submerging it, however, is not recommended. If you do not have access to clean water, you can use the supplied small cleaning brush instead.
The handle of the shaver is ergonomically designed for a comfortable and secure hold. It is fitted with a rubber grip to keep it non-slip.
Power is supplied to the shaver by a Lithium-Ion battery that can continually do so for several days before requiring a recharge. Full charge is attained in about an hour. You can connect the charging cord directly to the shaver or use the charging stand that comes with it.
