The foils, called MicroScreens, are quite flexible, moving from side to side and up and down to adjust to the contours of your face as you pass the shaver over your cheeks, chin, jaw, and neck. This brings the blades into close contact with your skin without causing rashes or irritation.
In addition to the increased number of blades, they are activated by a highly efficient motor that runs at an astonishing 8,900 revolutions per minute. This greatly speeds shaving as the blades rapidly slice through your facial hair.
Further helping make shaving comfortable is the Intercept Trimmer that is mounted in front of the MicroScreen foils. It is given such a designation because it is meant to intercept and cut long hairs before the screens get to them. Since the trimmer cuts long hairs, it can also be used from trimming and grooming your moustache, beard, or sideburns. However, if you are the kind who shaves daily, or even twice daily, you can retract the trimmer and use only the foils for shaving.
The Remington MS3-1000 Foil Shaver is powered by a rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery, thus you do not need to plug it into an electric outlet when shaving. This means you can shave while on the go, perhaps when you get caught in traffic in your car or at the office or gym to get rid of your five o'clock shadow.
For cleaning, you can run clean tap water through the shaver. You do not need to spend plenty of time meticulously brushing the foils and blades.
